Hi! I’m Genna, and am so thankful you’re here. As a mother and entrepreneur, life is pretty great, but can be a lot to navigate, so I’m thankful for your support and interest in PowerNatal! I started PowerNatal when I became a mother for the first time. My journey into motherhood was nothing like I would have ever imagined. My birth story was traumatizing and my ideal birth plan was shattered when I experienced bleeding at 33 weeks and was told I needed an emergency c-section. The next three weeks were spent in the NICU, my days consumed with doctors and nurses, and my nights spent pumping without my baby by my bedside. As difficult as it was, two beautiful things emerged from my own experience, my amazing son, and a desire to fill a gap in the industry that I felt was missing. My most challenging first weeks as a Mom also showed me the need for clean label foods that are natural, nutritional, and great tasting but in a convenient form. I was too exhausted to make nutrient-dense meals that my body desperately needed, so I set out to create a way for mother’s to get easy access to nutrient dense food and started mixing whole-food powders in my kitchen. From my tiny kitchen, PowerNatal was born to provide and create nutrition products that support your transformation into motherhood and enrich your babies health and your own.

I know I’m not the only woman to have gone through this, but when you are in it, you feel alone. As difficult as it was, two beautiful things emerged from my own experience, my amazing son, and a desire to create a company that stands with mothers, providing them support by offering healthy nutrition, education, and community.
